Rather than relying on one or two familiar eye nutrients, VisiFlora is organized around four functional systems intended to work together. Here's the reasoning behind each one.
Neutralizes oxidative stress from constant light exposure, the retina's primary daily challenge. Astaxanthin, Vitamin C/E, Copper, Selenium, and Alpha Lipoic Acid (which "recycles" the other antioxidants) make up this layer.
Grape seed extract, quercetin, rutin, and taurine target gut lining integrity and systemic inflammation — see our gut-eye connection guide.
Ginkgo biloba and Coleus forskohlii aim to support blood flow that delivers oxygen and nutrients to the retina and optic nerve — see our ginkgo research breakdown.
Lutein, zeaxanthin, zinc, bilberry, lycopene, and saffron directly target the macula and lens — the most heavily researched part of the formula.
The reasoning is that eye comfort is rarely driven by a single deficiency — antioxidant status, blood flow, and (per emerging research) gut inflammation may all interact. A narrower, single-nutrient formula makes it easier to isolate and dose one compound precisely; a broader formula trades some of that precision for addressing multiple angles in one product.
